For First Time Ever, Mt. Baker Ski Area, WA, Will Launch Night Skiing Operations

For the first time in its legendary history, Mt. Baker Ski Area is flipping the switch and inviting skiers and snowboarders to shred under the lights. According to a recent announcement from the resort on social media, the inaugural night skiing event is officially set for this coming weekend on Friday, March 13, and Saturday, March 14.

The extended evening operations will center around the White Salmon base area. The resort plans to illuminate Chair 7 (C-7) alongside the White Salmon Handle Tow. To elevate the atmosphere for this historic weekend, Mt. Baker will be hosting live DJs and setting up fire pits at the base. Guests can expect extended lodge services throughout both evenings to keep the food and drinks flowing after dark.

Access to this unprecedented event is highly accommodating for current patrons. Mt. Baker has confirmed that both “Any Day” and “Mostly Midweek” Season Passholders will have their night skiing access included automatically. Additionally, anyone holding a standard daily lift ticket for those specific days will be granted full access to the extended hours.

For those looking to make a full weekend out of the milestone event, overnight vehicle camping is permitted in the parking lot. While reservations are currently still available, the Washington resort warns that spots are expected to sell out rapidly, urging visitors to plan their trips and secure their reservations as soon as possible.
