And it’s apparently out today.

Nintendo is making a mini Game Boy-styled music player that will play special Pokémon Red and Blue music cartridges that look like Game Boy games. This palm-sized device is being released today.

The music player was announced by Pokémon music man Junichi Masuda during this afternoon’s Pokémon Presents, where we heard that there will be 45 songs/cartridges to collect for the music player device. This represents all of the songs from the Red and Blue Pokémon game, and “particular care” has apparently been made to make the player’s audio sound like in the originating Pokémon game.

There’s a Japanese website for the new device that lists a price of JPY 9900, which translates to £47, but I can’t find any European regional details yet.
